WatchStocks - Installation
WatchStocks installation preconditions
You must have JAVA 1.3 (or newer)
installed on Your machine and Your operating system must support long file
names (Recommended operating systems: eComStation, Linux, etc. -- see: next page).
Your systems screen resolution should be 1024 x 768 or 800 x 600 (higher or lower resolutions are not tested). Higher resolutions may work, tell me if You know...
Because there are no restrictions for the number of stocks that can be queried (registered program), enshure that You have at least 10MByte free space on the drive where You install the WatchStocks.
Where to install
WatchStocks can be installed to a directory of Your own choice. It is always a good idea to install programs to a drive different from Your boot drive. This way Your operating system and all Your program files can be changed (or removed or reinstalled) without effecting each other...
Attention:
- JAVA is case sensitive. So file names
Stocks.jar
and
Stocks.JAR
are different!
- The following instructions assume You are installing on Your drive
